Questions

Pricing, answered

What's the difference between archive and tasking pricing?

Archive imagery has already been captured and sits ready in a provider's catalog, so it's the fastest and most affordable option. Tasking commissions a satellite, aircraft, or drone to capture your area of interest fresh, which costs more and depends on revisit windows and weather. SkyWatch shows both prices side by side so you can choose based on budget and recency.

How is the final price calculated?

Final price is the per-km² rate for the product you choose multiplied by the area you order, subject to that product's minimum order size. Resolution, the specific provider, and any licensing terms can adjust the rate — but you'll always see the exact total before you confirm the purchase.

Are there subscriptions, platform fees, or contracts?

No. SkyWatch is pay-as-you-go. There are no seat licenses, no annual minimums, and no platform fees layered on top of the imagery. You create a free account and pay only for the data you order.

What does "Request pricing" mean for elevation tasking?

Elevation tasking (custom DEM/DTM/DSM capture) is scoped per project because it depends on the area, terrain, and accuracy you need. Archive elevation data starts at $8.75/km²; for a fresh tasking quote, reach out and our team will price it for you.

Can I get volume or enterprise pricing?

Yes. The rates here are starting prices for self-serve orders. For large programs, recurring monitoring, or organization-wide access through HUB, talk to our team about volume and enterprise terms.
