SkyWatch is pleased to announce that imagery from the Content Store for ArcGIS can now be found through ArcGIS Living Atlas and purchased through the Esri Store. ArcGIS users now have more ways to find, order and manage imagery content, all from within their ArcGIS environment. No imagery expertise is necessary to use imagery inside your workflows; SkyWatch handles the processing of the imagery into ready-to-use products that can be viewed, published and analyzed with ArcGIS.
Users don’t need to leave their Esri environment to find the imagery they need through an easy-to-use, natively integrated application for ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise, and the ArcGIS Pro add-in. Begin exploring the Content Store for ArcGIS today.
Partnership with Esri
SkyWatch and Esri jointly built the Content Store for ArcGIS with Esri users in mind. Now it’s easier than ever to discover and buy premium commercial imagery for use in ArcGIS.
Content Store for ArcGIS brings imagery from leading providers across satellite, aerial, and drone modalities into one place and reduces the complexity of acquiring imagery with a single ordering mechanism.
We’ve recently made it easier to:
Discover the Content Store app – now discoverable through Living Atlas
Browse for imagery – no sign in required before purchasing
Buy imagery from the app – purchase the Content Store for ArcGIS Bundle Subscription from the Esri Store or talk to your Esri Account Manager.
Recent additions to imagery providers include Nearmap aerial and Spexi drone data for the highest resolution of data available, and the catalog continues to grow.
Imagery discovery from ArcGIS Living Atlas to the Content Store
ArcGIS Living Atlas is the foremost collection of geographic information from around the globe. It includes maps, apps, and data layers to support your GIS work.
Start by searching for freely available data in Living Atlas for your needs. Users can view Living Atlas layers available inside of the Content Store application in their specific area of interest. When needs require higher resolution or more recent collections, search the Content Store to find commercially available imagery from the archive, or task a satellite or drone to capture new imagery. Refer to this blog for more information on how this works.
Acquiring commercial imagery through the Esri Store
Once you have found imagery you would like to purchase, you can order it through the Content Store app. You can get started by purchasing the Content Store for ArcGIS Bundle Subscription here.
Additional credits can also be purchased in blocks of 2,500 data credits.
An important note: Content Store data credits are the unit of currency to purchase imagery where 1 data credit = $1 USD, and credits are not the same as ArcGIS Online credits.
Once you have signed up for a SkyWatch account and connected it to your ArcGIS account, the Content Store data credits will be loaded into your Content Store app where you can begin ordering, publishing, and sharing your imagery across your ArcGIS Organization. Never purchase the same imagery twice, as you can see all the orders from your organization in one account through the SkyWatch HUB. Credits are charged for each imagery purchase, and calculated with transparent km² pricing per provider based on your order, so you are only charged for what you need.
For more details, enterprise scale needs and requirements, or alternative acquisition needs by PO or quote, please contact your Esri Account Manager.
